LGBTQA Health Conference

June 14-15, 2017



At the conclusion of the program, participants should be able to:                                                

  1. Become familiar with the results of the PA LGBTQA Health Needs Assessment Survey.
  2. Develop strategies to create LGBTQA-tailored  tobacco prevention and cessation interventions.
  3. Design and disseminate LGBTQA-tailored materials that help make medical/health environments more LGBTQA friendly.
  4. Recognize the special health needs and risks of LGBTQA populations in rural and small community settings.
  5. Monitor their own biases and identify strategies for increasing alliances.
  6. Identify resources for building networks across LGBTQA health services.
  7. Increase their ability to use motivational interviewing to increase engagement with individuals who use their services.
